Tandem Flights
- Paragliding is not 100% safe, there is a risk of serious injury or death.
- Nimbus will provide all safety equipment to the standard required by the NZHGPA
or greater.
- Tandem flight passengers should wear boots or trainers, long trousers or shorts
and a sweater or polar fleece.
- Tandem flight passengers may pay with cash, on-line via Paypal or by cheque.
- Gift vouchers are valid for six months and transferrable, gift vouchers will not
be refunded.
- Nimbus will always try to provide the best flight experience given the weather
conditions during the flight.
Training Flights
Safety
- Paragliding is not 100% safe, there is a risk of serious injury or death.
- Students are required to present themselves for training in a fit state i.e. not
under the influence of drugs or alcohol or suffering from ill health.
- It is the students responsibility to inform Nimbus of any change in personal circumstances
that may affect their ability to carry out flight operations.
- Students are required to follow the instructors directions. Deliberately disregarding
instructions may result in termination of training, in this case there will be no
refund of course fees paid.
- Nimbus reserves the right to terminate training at any time, a part refund of
course fees paid minus the per flight rate may be paid.
General
- It is the student pilots responsibility to contact the school and make themselves
available for training. There is a maximum of four training places each day, so
keep in contact.
- Nimbus carries out tandem flights, at times these may take priority over student
flights.
- Where a course cannot be completed a part refund of course fees paid minus the
per flight rate may be paid.
Payment
- Payment is required at the start of training unless prior arrangements are made
with Nimbus.
- Students intending to progress to PG2 will be offered the opportunity to purchase
a training package at the completion of PG1. Training packages have a $400 discount
applied to the cost of training. A deposit must be paid at the completion of PG1 in
order to purchase a training package.
- Unless specified as part of a training package Nimbus will not pay NZHGPA or
local club fees, these are the responsibility of the student.
